The RACT is encouraging members of the community to have
their say on the future of the Bass Highway in the state’s north-west.
Community feedback will form an important part of a planning
study conducted by the Department of State Growth.
The planning study will look at ways to improve the
reliability and safety of the Bass Highway between Cooee and Wynyard.
An evaluation of the Cam River Bridge will also be included,
with the aim of finding alternative routes for emergency access if an incident
forces the bridge to close.
