Jude Franks, of Hobart, was appointed to the Board in September 2015. She is a Director of RACT Travel Pty Ltd and RACT Destinations Pty Ltd and is also a member of the RACT's Road Traffic and Southern Regional Advisory Committees.
Jude is the Principal of her own consulting company and has had over 30 years’ extensive experience working and consulting in management, marketing and product development, to all sectors of the Tourism Industry both here in Tasmania, interstate and internationally. A few of her projects here in Tasmania have included the Hotel Grand Chancellor Federation Concert Hall Project, The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel, Brooke Street Waterfront Hotel, Woolmers Estate and Callington Mill.
For five years Jude held the position of Group General Manager Sales and Marketing for the Federal Group and she is also a former State Manager of the Innkeepers Group.
In recent years Jude lived in Jakarta and consulted across South East Asia in Country and Destination Branding and Tourism.
Jude is currently also a Director of (PAHSMA) Port Arthur Historic Sites Management Authority, The Chair of Mt Wellington Cablecar Company and the Cartela Steamship Board. In addition Jude has previously been a Director of the Tasmanian Convention Bureau, Ecotourism Australia, Southern Tasmanian Regional Tourism Association (Tas South).
