Our expert team of qualified mechanics from our Vehicle Inspection area specialise in testing vehicles and giving a complete and unbiased report on their condition. This helps you avoid financial losses and other potential problems. Knowing what repairs are necessary also enables you to negotiate with the seller for a better deal. RACT specialised inspections can also be arranged to suit your specific needs, such as basic maintenance road test, full mechanical, and total vehicle and warranty checks. If your car is under warranty, have an inspection before your warranty expires and save yourself money. Inspection fees are small when compared to the money you may lose if a mechanical defect is not detected. Our Vehicle Inspection Centre can also:

• Supply and fit child restraints,
• Perform roadworthy/registration inspections,
• Provide Engineer's Certificates (Hobart only),
• Provide custom vehicle valuations (Hobart only),
• Supply and fit RACT batteries.

The RACT's Hobart, Launceston and Burnie Vehicle Inspection Stations are official Department of Transport Approved Vehicle Inspection Stations.
