8/2/2010RACT's "Roadmap for the next Tasmanian Government"

The RACT has thrown down a challenge to the three political parties to adopt one of the most significant and comprehensive set of recommendations the RACT has ever has developed for road safety on our increasingly busy roads.

This document has been developed over more than six months with input from members, the RACT's three regional advisory committees, state and federal specialists, and Australian and New Zealand motoring clubs.

Our recommendations represent a most comprehensive response to the tragedy of road trauma and our challenge to the next Tasmanian Government is this: will you make cut-through and decisive decisions to implement these recommendations, all of which come from people and experts within the community whose views the RACT respects enormously?

The RACT Roadmap has been sent to all main parties and candidates, and is available for download below.
