The Tasmanian Greens today gave in-principle support to the policy asks presented by the RACT to all three parties, highlighting the urgent need for a major boost to public transport infrastructure and the need to implement road safety and awareness education in all Tasmanian schools.

The Hobart City Council has proposed a blanket speed limit reduction to 50km/h on most roads throughout the municipality. The RACT would prefer a case-by-case analysis of differing section of the network.
