Risden Knightley, of Port Sorell, was appointed to the Board in September 2016 and is a member of RACT's Risk Management, Road and Traffic and North West Regional Advisory Committees.
Risden is a chartered civil engineer with extensive experience in traffic infrastructure and management.
As Principal Engineer of RJK Consulting Engineers, based in Launceston, he has provided a logical and analytical approach to a wide variety of civil transport infrastructure proposals and designs.
Risden is the current President of the Tasmania Division of Engineers Australia and has previously been General Manager of Kentish Council and held engineering roles with the Australian Royal Air Force.
A strategic and innovative thinker he has demonstrated managerial, financial and leadership experience across all industry sectors including government, private industry and the not-for-profit sector.
As a director of RACT, Risden seeks to bring engineering skills and experience to the Board to assist and inform the Club's strong advocacy effort and the important role the Club has in representing road users and the community in Tasmania.
