Changes to driver's licence renewals.
For Tassie residents aged 65+ with a licence expiring before 30 September, the good news is it’ll be automatically renewed for one year. This won’t cost you anything and it’ll be sent to you in the mail.
If you need a medical test to renew your licence, this will be deferred for six months, unless you have a high-risk condition. For these drivers, State Growth will consider these case-by-case, and will contact you if a medical test is needed.
