    Community fund

    Local community groups make a big difference to life in Tasmania. Let us take some of the pressure off so your group can focus on building stronger, happier communities. If you're part of an eligible group, club or association and need financial support, we’d love to hear from you.

    Our community fund is open twice a year, with the next round open from Saturday 7 March - Friday 10 April 2020. To complete an application form, please click here.

    COVID-19 Community Support Fund

    Keeping our communities strong and connected is important to us all. The RACT Insurance COVID-19 Community Support Fund has been created to help community groups survive this challenging time, and make sure we all have things to look forward to.
    Applications will open on Tuesday 14 April.

      Buying plants, herbs and mulch to create a sustainable community garden.
    • Bridport Surf Life Saving Club

      Providing the club with nipper boards to continue training for emergency search and rescue activities.

      Making equestrian club events easier with a new kitchen oven. 
    • Latrobe Baptist Men's Shed
      Supplying members with dust extraction units for woodworking activities.
    • North Esk Dragon Boat Club

      Buying new personal flotation devices for the team.
    • Soroptimist International of Burnie

      Helping purchase books for the Books for Babies program. 

    • Tasmanian University Dive Club

      Purchasing tools and equipment for the Derwent River underwater clean up. 

    • Weymouth Progress Association
      Helping to support community events with an upgraded kitchen. 
    • Cancer Council Tasmania

      Gifting new wigs to encourage confidence in patients' cancer journey.

    • Snug Volunteer Fire Brigade
      Purchasing ultra high frequency radios to prepare for bushfire season.
    • Volunteer Marine Rescue Kingborough
      Helping purchase personal locator beacons and strobe lights for the team to provide vital services.
    • King Island District High School
      Funding a paddock to plate garden for the school cafe.
    • Kentish Polocrosse Club
      Buying new sports equipment to help with training and development.
