    Love being out and about in our community? We sponsor large-scale events and programs across Tasmania for music, art and sport fans of all ages.  

    Funding in action

    Local community groups make a big difference to life in Tasmania. We've assisted over 200 Tasmanian groups, clubs and organisations with community-building projects. Check out some of the most recent initiatives we've supported.  

     

    • Westbury Primary School
      Supporting the school build a recycling hub for their local community.
    • North West Woodcraft Guild Inc
      Funding wood carving tools, cutting mats and pyrography equipment to be used in community classes.
    • Midway Point Neighbourhood House
      Purchasing community garden materials including timber, shade cloth, roofing iron and chickens.
    • Rascal Robot Art Space
      Purchasing a 3D printer to support students development of creative art skills.
    • Bridport Innovations Inc
      Funding an electric car charging station for use by visitors and residents.
    • Wildlife Bush Babies & Snake Rescue Inc
      Supporting the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife with the purchase of intensive care units.
       
    • Montello Primary School
      Purchasing 3 canopy exhaust fans for the school kitchen used by students.
    • Migrant Resource Centre
      Contributed funds towards building a secure storage shed to house cars used by migrant learner drivers.
    • North Esk Dragon Boat Club
      Buying new personal flotation devices for the team.
    • Bridport Surf Life Saving Club
      Providing the club with nipper boards to continue training for emergency search and rescue activities.
    • Central Coast Polocrosse Club
      Making equestrian club events easier with a new kitchen oven. 
    • Latrobe Baptist Men's Shed
      Supplying members with dust extraction units for woodworking activities.
    • Cancer Council Tasmania

      Gifting new wigs to encourage confidence in patients' cancer journey.

    • Soroptimist International of Burnie
      Helping purchase books for the Books for Babies program.
    • Tasmanian University Dive Club
      Purchasing tools and equipment for the Derwent River underwater clean up.
    • Weymouth Progress Association
      Helping to support community events with an upgraded kitchen.
    • Snug Volunteer Fire Brigade
      Purchasing ultra high frequency radios to prepare for bushfire season.
    • Volunteer Marine Rescue Kingborough
      Helping purchase personal locator beacons and strobe lights for the team to provide vital services.
    • King Island District High School
      Funding a paddock to plate garden for the school cafe.
    • Kentish Polocrosse Club
      Buying new sports equipment to help with training and development.

    Insurance COVID-19 Community Support Fund

    We were proud to be able to provide $200,000 in grants to 85 community groups during the pandemic.
