To support tourism businesses on the stunning West Coast of Tasmania, the RACT, in partnership with the Tasmanian Government, has established a loan fund to provide start-up, interest-free loans to eligible businesses.
The RACT and the Tasmanian Government have contributed $250, 000 each to kick-start a small number of businesses on the West Coast. Prospective operators will be able to apply for up to $100, 000, interest-free. No repayments are required during the first two years, but it is expected the loan will be repaid in full within five years from commencement.
The aim of the fund is to:
Build a sustained investment partnership model between government and industry to support the region and create economic activity and new employment opportunities for local communities, and the wider West Coast community.
Applications are now being accepted
A panel representing the West Coast and broader tourism sector will assess the applications based on the criteria available on our How to apply page.
