RACT members have the chance to see the new Spirit of the Wild vessel before it sets sail for Strahan, where it will cruise the iconic Gordon River.
An open day will be held on Hobart's waterfront on 17 May from 9am-3pm.
Spirit of the Wild will be berthed at Princes Wharf Intermediate, between the Princes Wharf 1 shed and IMAS, near Salamanca Place. Member access will be off Castray Esplanade – just look for the RACT signage.
This Spirit of the Wild is like no other vessel in Australia and includes a unique and environmentally sensitive feature – silent drive. Fitted with a hybrid propulsion system, consisting of both diesel engines and electric motors, it will offer passengers an unparalleled experience, cruising the Gordon River in silence.
