Dress for Success
We’re excited to announce that we’ve officially partnered with Dress for Success Tasmania. They're the local affiliate of the international not-for-profit organisation that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools for them to thrive in both work and life.
Dress for Success Tasmania are best known for their 'styling' service, where women from all walks of life can make a free appointment with the charity’s volunteer stylists to attend their clothing boutique. During these sessions the attendees are given clothing, guidance and support to help them get ready for an interview or to commence employment.
The Dress for Success Tasmania clothing boutiques are equipped with garments suitable for a wide array of industries and positions with sizes to suit all. The clothing is in near new condition and sourced via donations, primarily from the public.
A helping hand on the path to success
A handful of our team recently spent the afternoon volunteering with Dress for Success Tasmania. Read about what they got up to.
How can we help them?
We'll be helping them to attain more clothing items by placing donation collection bins in our southern branches. We're encouraging both our members and staff to donate any pre-loved professional women's workwear items, that still have plenty of life left in them.
Donations should be clean, ready-to-wear and in near new condition as they have no capacity to sort through and dispose of unsuitable clothing. So clean out your closet of any suits, pants, blazers, blouses, skirts, dresses or anything else that’s ready for work that you no longer need. Dress for Success help women from many different industries, so it’s not just suits and corporate wear they’re after. In addition to clothing they’re also always in need of accessories like shoes, handbags, laptop bags, belts and jewellery too.
