  • Read the manual

    The owner’s manual contains lots of useful information about your car's mechanics. It will also help you get the best out of your car.

  • Lift the bonnet

    When reading your owner’s manual, get to know what you can and can’t check for yourself. Then commit to doing it monthly.

  • Service it

    Keep your servicing up to date. You don’t have to take it to the dealer for servicing. Come to us or find a qualified local mechanic to do it.

  • Things to watch

    Check your tyre pressure and lights monthly. Look out for unusual fluid appearing under where you park your car.

  • Warnings

    If any warning lights flash on, never ignore them. Take the car to your local mechanic as soon as possible.

  • Oh, and one more thing

    Make sure you’ve got a spare key or remote as they can be very expensive to replace.

  • I’m not sure what’s wrong with my car. Can you help?

    We can help you fix any problem, big or small. If you're not sure what's wrong, our skilled mechanics will take a look. Finding the problem may take some time, and there may be a charge to do so. Once we find the problem, we’ll discuss with you how to fix it and what the cost will be before we do the work.

  • I have a new car under warranty. I will have to take this to the dealer right?

    We can carry out new car logbook servicing. We'll also make sure any work is to the manufacturer’s requirements. This means using quality parts and the correct lubricants. You don’t need to worry about whether your warranty will still be valid. But don’t just take our word for it. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) have detailed information via this FAQ document.

  • How often should I get my car serviced?

    This depends on a few things, like how old your car is and how often you drive it. When your car goes in for a service, your mechanic will let you know when it's next due. It's important that everything is kept up to date, as this will make sure you're safe while driving.

  • Do you offer pick up and drop off service?

    If you live locally (within 8-10km of AutoServe), we may be able to pick your car up and return it back to you at home when we've finished working on it.
