More than a statistic

The action we take now, will make our roads safer tomorrow.

In the past six years, 44 young Tasmanians have lost their lives, and over 350 have suffered life-altering injuries on our roads.*

This means nearly 400 families and their communities have been affected by tragedy.

We're on a mission to smash the stats.

Our young people are more than a statistic, let's start a conversation about the risks associated with getting behind the wheel. Together, we can ensure our young people are aware of distractions and how to stay safe on our roads.

The action we take now, will make our roads safer tomorrow.

Meet Grace

She's 19, a daughter and a sister.

She's studying to be a psychologist, and there's a 1 in 4 chance she will be in an accident before she's 25.

Our 'Ready for the Road' program is a theoretical program that helps educate young people on how to safely navigate the roads, as a driver or a passenger.

Meet Kaiki

He's 17, a son and a brother.

He's an aspiring scientist and about to embark on an exciting stage of life.

Whilst learning to drive, learner drivers are the safest people on the road. But once they get their P's, they're far more likely to be in an accident. Our 'Distracted Driving' program is a practical program that empowers young people to prioritise their safety on the roads.

Meet Shannae

She's 19, a daughter and a sister.

She's studying to be a teacher, and driving for the first time without supervision is one of the most dangerous activities she will undertake in her life.

Our instructors equip learner drivers with the skills to safely navigate the road alone.

Whilst filming this campaign, we had a chat with Grace, Kaiki and Shannae to hear firsthand how filming this narrative impacted them.

Check out our behind-the-scenes video to hear their thoughts and see how it all came together.
