RACT Golden Rules workbook
Did you know that there are some road safety rules we should follow that are the same all over the world?
There are 12 of them actually and we call these the Golden Rules of Road Safety. Here they are!
Always pay attention
Wear a helmet
Slow down for kids
Never drink and drive
Obey the speed limit
Check your tyres
Check your vision
Stay bright
Use a child safety seat
Buckle up
Don't text and drive
Stop when you're tired
We have put together a workbook for Grade 5 and 6 students to explore these rules and how they can apply in real life.
We encourage students to attempt to complete the practical activities associated with each rule either individually or in small groups.
You might need to find a couple of household items or things lying around the classroom for a couple of the activities but nothing too complicated.
