Dr Blair Turner

Director Road Safety Advisory Services

Dr Blair Turner has almost 30 years of road safety experience across research, consulting and policy development. He is currently the independent Road Safety Expert on the Tasmanian Road Safety Advisory Council (RSAC) and is the Council representative on the Youth Road Safety Program Steering Committee.  

He has held roles with government in New Zealand and the UK and led national and international road safety research and consulting activity while Chief Scientist – Road Safety at the Australian Road Research Board.  

He has provided training and advice to practitioners and governments in more than 40 countries, including in a recent role as road safety specialist for the Global Road Safety Facility at the World Bank, based in Washington DC.  

He currently provides road safety advice and consulting services to governments and practitioners in Australia, and internationally.
