When we spend time talking with young learners and their parents, guardians and supervisors, one request comes through time and again: the need for more support before and during the learning-to-drive process.
So, we're coming to you, with a series of pilot sessions across the state plus online options. Join in and help shape the future of youth road safety programs.
What's included:
A road rules refresher
What the driving test involves
A staged approach to learning to drive
Coaching strategies for supervisors
The importance of driving in varied conditions
Road safety discussions and shared experiences
Planning and reflecting on practice
A general Q&A and open discussion
Light refreshments
The chance to give feedback and shape further sessions
Who can come?
Parents, guardians and supervisors alongside their learner (or soon-to-be learner) drivers. Sessions are designed to be attended together.
