Learning to drive, together

A new, free, practical session for parents, guardians and other supervisors alongside their learner drivers. Covering everything you need to make the most of the learning-to-drive experience for both of you.

When we spend time talking with young learners and their parents, guardians and supervisors, one request comes through time and again: the need for more support before and during the learning-to-drive process.

So, we're coming to you, with a series of pilot sessions across the state plus online options. Join in and help shape the future of youth road safety programs.

What's included:

  • A road rules refresher

  • What the driving test involves

  • A staged approach to learning to drive

  • Coaching strategies for supervisors

  • The importance of driving in varied conditions

  • Road safety discussions and shared experiences

  • Planning and reflecting on practice

  • A general Q&A and open discussion

  • Light refreshments

  • The chance to give feedback and shape further sessions

Who can come?
