Fire is Tasmania's biggest natural hazard and risk is rising as summers grow longer and hotter. No household, community or organisation can face it alone. We advocate for Tasmanian community resilience through partnerships, projects and support.
Partners in Preparedness
We're committed to a new collaborative approach to bushfire preparedness with a $1.2 million RACT/UTAS Fire Centre Partnership to support local research. This collaboration sits alongside the Partners In Preparedness initiative with City of Hobart and Kingborough Council which combines property assessments, community support and risk data to see what helps households prepare and improve their bushfire risk ratings.
