“I would also like to thank our outgoing Chief Advocacy Officer, Garry Bailey, who, since joining the organisation in 2021, has been an instrumental force in our advocacy efforts.

“Garry’s relentless commitment to road safety played a crucial role in our successful campaign to expand traffic enforcement cameras across Tasmania; drive legislative changes requiring motorists to slow down near roadside patrols; and ensuring road safety and infrastructure investment are at the forefront of all political leaders’ agendas.”

Ms Percival said it was a privilege to take on the role at an organisation with 100 years of history advocating for the safety and well-being of Tasmanians.

“I’m eager to build upon Garry’s exceptional work and continue advocating for safer roads, sustainable transport solutions, and climate preparedness,” Ms Percival said.

“As our state’s most trusted organisation and representing more than 70 per cent of Tasmanian homes, we can make significant strides in ensuring our island continues to be the best place to live."
