RACT has congratulated its Chair, Keryn Nylander FAICD, on receiving the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ (AICD) 2026 Tasmanian Gold Medal Award recognising her contribution to Tasmanian leadership over the past 25 years.

The prestigious award celebrates and recognises outstanding leadership, exemplary corporate governance and distinguished service to business and the Tasmanian community.

RACT Chief Executive Officer Mark Mugnaioni said the recognition was richly deserved and reflected Ms Nylander’s extraordinary contribution to Tasmania over more than 25 years.

“Keryn has made an enormous contribution to Tasmania through her leadership, integrity and genuine commitment to making our state a better place,” Mr Mugnaioni said.

“At RACT, we are fortunate to benefit from her experience, sound judgement and deep understanding of the responsibility we have to our members and the broader Tasmanian community.

“As a mutual, our purpose goes beyond commercial success. It’s about creating lasting value for Tasmanians, and Keryn’s leadership reflects that commitment.”

Ms Nylander said she was honoured to receive the recognition.

“I’ve been fortunate to work alongside wonderful people and organisations that genuinely care about Tasmania and its future,” Ms Nylander said.

“Being part of RACT is particularly rewarding because our mutual purpose is about being there for each other and making a meaningful difference in the lives of Tasmanians.

“It’s a privilege to help lead an organisation that exists for its members and has been part of Tasmanian life for more than a century.”

Ms Nylander’s extensive board career includes leadership roles with Aurora Energy, Bank of us, Wine Tasmania, the Tasmania Development Board and the Tasmania JackJumpers Advisory Board.

The award was presented today by the Governor of Tasmania Her Excellency the Honourable Caroline Wells at the AICD Annual Lunch in Hobart.
