The party starts with Australian electro-house and dance outfit The Potbelleez, before the sky lights up with family-friendly fireworks at 9.30pm. Then it’s over to Furnace & The Fundamentals, who’ll bring their fun, high-energy mashups of your favourite hits to the main stage. Local favourite DJ Track & Field rounds out the night, keeping the party going all the way to the midnight countdown and the big fireworks finale.
What to wear? Saddle up for the theme of Space Cowboy: think glitter, stars and sparkle, maybe a cowboy hats or boots, and out-of-this-world dress-ups.
Want to start earlier? There is also a free City of Hobart community celebration from 12–4pm (with the gates to the party open from 6pm).
Note: The New Year’s Eve Party is a ticketed event and is not included in day passes.
Fireworks
As always, two spectacular fireworks displays will light up the Hobart sky: a family-friendly show at 9.30pm and the big midnight celebration to kick off 2027.
