Craig Ellis
Craig brings over 40 years of distinguished experience in financial services across Australia, Europe and Asia to the RACT Board. A Chartered Accountant and graduate of the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Commerce, Craig has built an exceptional career spanning insurance, banking and corporate governance.
Craig's executive leadership includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of MSIG Insurance Singapore, one of Singapore's top five general insurers, where he drove profitable growth and industry engagement. His tenure also saw him elected President of the General Insurance Association of Singapore. Previously, Craig held CEO positions at Charles Monat Associates and Old Mutual International's Singapore and Southeast Asia operations, alongside senior regional roles at Allianz SE across Asia Pacific, including Regional General Manager for Life and Health and Regional Chief Financial Officer.
His board experience spans multiple jurisdictions, including serving as Independent Chairman of Liberty International Underwriters Singapore and currently as a Director of Income Insurance, where he is a member of the Audit and Nomination, HR and Remuneration Committees. Craig's deep expertise in audit, finance and risk management, combined with substantial regulatory experience across Asian markets, positions him ideally for chairing audit and risk committees.
After returning to Australia from Singapore in 2022, Craig is committed to contributing his extensive general insurance and financial expertise to Australian organisations. His international perspective, regulatory knowledge and proven leadership make him a valuable member of the RACT Board.
