    Our lessons start and finish at our driving schools in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie. When you book online, you’ll be able to see what’s available in your location and buy packages to save money. Best of all, our online booking portal lets you book at any time.

    When you’ve booked once, you’ll be able to sign in the next time with your email address. Need to check your balance or change a lesson? You'll be able to do it all online.

    There are some things that don't fit into a standard driving lesson that you will need to call us for. If you need an L2 or P1 test booking, keys2drive lesson, or Business Safety Essentials course please call 1300 761 429.

    Common questions

    • What locations are available to book online?
      Our lessons start and finish at our Driving Schools in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie. You can book lessons online for any of these locations.
    • What is my username?
      Your username is your email address.
    • What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
      You can reset your password through the online portal by selecting the reset button on the log in page. A temporary password goes to your email address for you to use.
    • I have had lessons with RACT and the online portal is not letting me register – how do I find out what my login details are?
      To try to log in, please enter your email address and click the reset your password link. This will send you a temporary password which you can change when you first sign in. If you are still having issues please give our Driver Training team a call on 1300 761 429.
    • How do I check how much credit I have on my account?
      You can see your credit and prepaid packages in the top right-hand corner of your account. Also, a record of your transaction history is available in transactions.
    • How do I cancel a lesson and what is the cancellation policy?
      We need at least 24 hours’ notice for you to receive a credit for your lessons. You can cancel your lesson in the appointments tab or by calling us.
    • How do I change a lesson booking?
      To change a lesson online you will need to cancel and rebook your lesson. Cancelling your lesson will create a credit that you can use to rebook online. Or, you can call our Driver Training team on 1300 761 429 to change your booking time.
    • What services can I book online?
      You can make a booking for any standard driving lesson. This includes an initial lesson and any ongoing L1, L2, P1 lessons or refresher lessons.
    • How do I book other services, e.g. L2 assessments that you provide?
      If you need an L2 or P1 test booking, Keys2drive lesson or Business Safety Essentials Training please call 1300 761 429.
    • Can I buy a package online?
      Yes, this is the way to go to save money. We have 3, 5, 7 and 10 lesson packages available to buy online. These go on to your account as prepaid lesson credit to use during the next 12 months.
    • What other ways can I book lessons?
      You can book a lesson by calling us on 1300 761 429. Or, you can book by visiting our Driving Schools in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie.
    • What are the terms and conditions for booking online?
      Our full terms and conditions are in the bottom right-hand corner of the online booking portal. A condensed version is available for you to read on our RACT Driver Training page.
    • How do I update my address?
      You can update your address visit the profile tab. You can update all your contact details here except for your name. To change your name please call us on 1300 761 729.
    • The online portal is not accepting my address, how do I make a booking?
      All lessons leave from our driving school locations, so only local postcodes work online. If you live outside these areas but would like to book lessons, please call us on 1300 761 429.
    • How do I pay for my lesson online?
      The online booking portal takes Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards.
    • I tried to process a payment online with a card but it has not worked?
      If your payment isn’t working, the first thing to check is that it is either a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card. If you still have issues please call us on 1300 761 429. We are happy to try to process the payment at our end and credit your account.
    • I can't see my package credit on my account when I buy a package in-branch?
      If you can't see your available credit please give our Driver Training team a call to follow up. We can check why this issue is occurring and confirm a record of your payment. We will then be able to transfer the credit to your account.
