Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter is The Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania Limited (ABN 62 009 475 861) of 179 Murray Street, Hobart, TAS 7000
2. Information on how to enter and eligibility to be entered into the draw and prize details form part of the conditions.
3. The competition opens at 9:00am Wednesday 8 May 2024 and closes at 11:59pm Sunday 14 July 2024 (“Promotion Period”) with a total of two individual winners.
4. Entry is open to current RACT financial members who fill out the form and answer the question during the Promotion Period.
5. For an entry to be valid the form must be filled out correctly and completely.
6. Entry is restricted to current RACT financial members aged 18 years and over at the time of entry who reside in the State of Tasmania.
7. Employees of the promoter and those companies in which it has an equity interest and the immediate families of such employees are ineligible to enter.
8. Participants who fulfil the entry conditions will be automatically entered into the draw and by completing the entry conditions the Participant accepts these terms and conditions.
9. Entries will be judged based on originality and creativity by RACT.
10. The prize pool consists of two identical prizes of a return trip to Sydney to view a demonstration at the ANCAP Crashlab for one person. Each prize includes for one person economy return flights from Hobart to Sydney with carry on luggage, one nights standard room accommodation at Mantra On Sydney Airport with breakfast included, transfers from Sydney airport to hotel, hotel to ANCAP Crashlab, and ANCAP Crashlab to Sydney airport, and meals to the value of $150 per person. The date of the trip is to be determined by ANCAP but will occur in 2024. The approximate value of the prize is $1200. Any other ancillary costs including insurance are the responsibility of each winner.
11. The prize winners will be selected by RACT on Monday 15 July 2024 by 12:00pm at 179-181 Murray Street, Hobart, TAS, 7000. The winners will be the two best responses based on originality and creativity.
12. The prize winners will be contacted by email or phone with details on redeeming the prize package.
13. Prize winners name will be published on the RACT website and social media pages. Eligible Participants consent to this publication as a condition of entry.
14. The winner cannot nominate a third party to collect the prize package on their behalf.
15. Should the prize winner decide to accept the prize they must, at the promoter’s request, participate in reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prizes, free of charge, and consent to the promoter using their names and images in promotional material (which may include publication within Journeys magazine and/or on the RACT website and social media pages)
16. In the event of the prize being refused, not accepted or not claimed.
In the event the winner refusing or not accepting the prize the next best entry will be selected within 3 business days of the promoter being notified of the non-acceptance or refusal at 179-181 Murray Street, Hobart, TAS, 7000.
In the event that the prize is not claimed the next best entry will be selected on 19 July 2024 at 179-181 Murray Street, Hobart, TAS, 7000.
17. The prizes or any unused portion of the prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for an alternative prize or taken as cash.
18. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
19. The Promoter, its contractors, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered or sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), arising out of or in any way connected with the competition and/or its prizes except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.
20. The Promoter’s decision is final with respect to all matters relating to the competition and no correspondence will be entered into with respect to those decisions.
